Causes of Stress

If being stressed dominates our daily lives this causes us problems.

Causes of stress are most commonly: work, family, relationships, money. It can be caused by exams, travel, bullying (at school,  at work, in our social life).

Over a longer-term it can cause illness. and this is where you need to be aware of its’ impact and take action.
Here we look at the symptoms of stress, then look at how counselling or therapy would help, and finally how we would go about helping you.

Some levels of stress are perfectly normal in a balanced life. However, there is a balance and for many people stress can dominate our daily life and this causes us problems.

What would Stress Counselling / Stress Therapy do for me?

It is going to help you overcome the situations that cause stress and the amount of anquish that it causes.

Our first goal would be to identify the causes of stress and anything that makes it worse (trigger situations).

There are a number of different techniques that could be used; I would chose the one (or more) depending on the circumstances.

Our aim is to return you to a normal life. Stress will still occur, but at a level where you are able to recognise it and cope with it. This brings us to Stress Management and coping techiques.
